Choosing Total Health: Gym Selection Tips

There’s no shortage of benefits that come along with finding a good personal trainer. Just web searching “personal trainer Miami” might not get you where you need to go, though. The options presented are often overwhelming and riddled with links to dead web profiles, people who are no longer accepting clients, or, worse, vague advertisements that leave you confused. Going straight to the source has been my personal solution. I first sought out gyms and researched them in order to get a good feeling for how they do their work and their gym philosophy.

I found that my gym specialized in sports performance training, a bootcamp style technique that aggressively attacks various muscle groups in a cyclical pattern. Sure, the gym had a lot of celebrity clients and physical fitness giants, but working alongside them has only served to challenge me. The environment is so good about focusing on individual fitness goals – not holding you to anyone else’s standards of what it means to be healthy – that it’s very encouraging to see you are surrounded by people of all levels, all on different parts of their health journey.

I learned that this is a gym for everyone that prioritizes individual experiences and challenges, no matter where you are coming from and where it is you have your heart set on going. The path to total health is a rocky one for most of us. Unlearning our bad habits, both mental and physical, are lifelong challenges marked by milestones and many smaller goals. The patience, mental willpower, and physical endurance you earn by starting this journey can and will completely change your life – so choosing the right gym is paramount.
